Check one area at a time
Start with the floor plan instead of a list of scary possibilities. Mark the location, write what you noticed, and leave conclusions for the on-site review.
Doorways and openings
Record which door or opening changed and how it behaves. Note whether the issue is constant, seasonal, or recent if you know.
Floors and center seam
Write down where a slope, soft spot, or change is noticeable. Do not use this guide to decide whether the area is safe.
Visible exterior details
From a safe position, note damaged skirting, access limits, or a support that looks different. Do not enter a crawlspace or move any component.
