The estimate should start at the home
An online checklist can help you prepare, but it cannot measure the home. A provider needs to see the access, hear what changed, and explain how the proposed work follows from the inspection.
Bring the home's basic details
If you know the year, dimensions, and number of sections, add them to your notes. Include earlier leveling or foundation work only when you have a reliable record of it.
Show the pattern
Walk the provider through the rooms or edges you marked. Explain when each change appeared and whether it seems steady or different over time.
Ask for a recheck
Before agreeing to work, ask how measurements will be taken afterward and what written record you will receive.
