Follow the work from observation to recheck
You do not need to know the repair method before the visit. You do need a clear explanation of what the provider found, what is included, and what will be checked when the work is finished.
Before the estimate
Confirm access, occupancy, pets, skirting, and any recent work that could affect the visit. Ask whether photos or records would be useful.
Before work begins
Read the proposed scope, exclusions, materials, payment schedule, and change process. Ask who will be responsible for the work on site.
Before the provider leaves
Request the promised recheck and completion notes. Walk through any items that still need attention before signing the final document.
